As a part-time dental hygienist (3 days/poss 4 per week), you will play a vital role in our general and orthodontic practice. You will typically work alongside our single-doctor team, ensuring that every patient receives personalized attention and care. We schedule one patient at a time, allowing you to dedicate your focus and expertise to deliver a thorough and effective hygiene experience. The position requires approximately 25 hours weekly, with the following schedule: Mondays and Wednesdays (8 AM - 5 PM with a 1-hour lunch) and Tuesdays (7 AM - 3 PM).
In this role, you will be responsible for dental charting, and patient records, along with treatment planning and patient education and general hygiene duties. You’ll utilize your skills in digital X-rays, iTero scanning, while also maintaining a calm and inviting environment for our patients.
To excel in this role, you should possess strong communication skills, feeling comfortable discussing needed treatments and proactively educating patients about their oral health. While we require a minimum of 2 years of experience, we welcome new graduates who are eager to learn and grow in a supportive setting. All current NC licensure expected.
