Billing Coordinator

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour

We are seeking a bilingual (English / Cantonese), detail-oriented, and proactive Dental Billing Coordinator to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of dental billing processes, including coding, claims submission, and account reconciliation. This role is vital in ensuring accurate billing practices, timely collections, and seamless communication between patients, insurance providers, and healthcare staff. The Dental Billing Coordinator will play a key role in maintaining financial health and operational efficiency within the dental practice.

Duties:
- Review and verify dental insurance claims using CDT coding standards to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare and submit electronic dental billing claims ensuring adherence to payer requirements.
- Manage dental collections by following up on unpaid or denied claims, resolving discrepancies, and negotiating payment arrangements with insurance companies and patients.
- Maintain detailed dental records and documentation related to billing activities, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to verify patient information, treatment codes, and insurance details for precise billing processes.
- Monitor accounts receivable aging reports regularly to identify outstanding balances and implement strategies for prompt collection.

Experience:
- Proven experience in dental billing with a strong focus on dental coding procedures such as CDT codes.
- Familiarity with dental terminology, dental records management, and healthcare documentation standards.
- Knowledge of insurance claim processing workflows, including denials management and appeals.
- Strong understanding of dental collection procedures and patient account management.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
