Lead Orthodontic Dental Assistant

Lead Orthodontic Assistant: RDA certification required

We are a growing private orthodontic practice in Cedar Park looking for a full-time Orthodontic Assistant / Clinical Lead to join our team! This role is perfect for someone who loves patient care but also thrives in organization, leadership, and helping a team succeed.

Responsibilities include:

Assisting chairside with orthodontic procedures and patient care
Supervising, training, and supporting clinical staff to ensure smooth daily operations
Assigning tasks to clinic staff during downtime or admin days
Monitoring clinic flow on patient days to keep appointments on time
Daily review of the schedule to ensure preparedness for patient visits
Verifying arrival of appliances, aligners, and retainers before appointments
Overseeing PPE usage and compliance with OSHA and HIPAA standards
Maintaining and organizing all sterile needs, supplies, and clinical inventory
Ordering supplies and updating inventory records
Ensuring slab submissions are completed
Serving as the radiation monitor to keep licenses up to date, staff trained, and records maintained
Reporting repairs or replacements of clinic tools/items to the doctor
Knowledge and adherence to company handbook policies
Our ideal candidate:

Has 1+ years of prior lead orthodontic assisting experience (preferred)
Is reliable, professional in appearance and demeanor, and a team player
Can work independently without being micromanaged
Is organized, proactive, and committed to high-quality patient care
Hours:

Mon & Tues: 8:30am – 6:00pm
Wed: 7:30am – 5:00pm
Varied admin hours on Thurs or Fri
Alternating Saturdays: 8:30am – (1:00–3:00pm, depending on schedule)
Closed Sundays and major holidays
