Experience and Skills
Your role will be vitally important to keeping our practice running smoothly! The Medical Assistant works closely with the Dentist, allowing her to focus her time on direct patient care. Some of your responsibilities will be to accurately document precise medical information, which allows us to help our patients. You will also process the documentation, lab/imaging/prescription orders as well as needed patient follow-up.
Daily tasks include but are not limited to:
- Visit Preparation. Inputting/updating all patient data in our EMR system.
- Processing documentation, lab/ imaging/ prescription orders and any needed patient follow-up
- Documenting accurately doctor’s encounter with patient
- Maintaining Lab and treatment rooms inventory and equipment by anticipating supply needs and expediting supply orders
- Presenting treatment plans and financing options
- Taking X-ray (training and certification can be provided)
- Maintaining safe and clean work environment in accordance with OSHA standards
- Maintains strictest confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Requirements
- At least 2+ work experience in a Medical facility
- Experience with EMR system, eClinicalWorks is required
- Computer skills. Fast, accurate typing skills
- Multitask, Responsible / reliable.
- Strong attention to details
- Great bedside manner
Salary and Benefits
Compensation ranges from $20-28/hour, based on experience and job performance…even more with benefits, bonuses & incentives!
