Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and assisting the dental team in delivering effective treatments. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following infection control protocols.
Take X-rays as needed, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Maintain patient records accurately, including medical histories and treatment plans.
Collaborate with the dental team on various procedures, including endodontics and prosthodontics.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
Familiarity with dental systems and software for record management is advantageous.
Proficiency in infection control practices to maintain a safe clinical environment.
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients of all ages.
Ability to assist in various dental specialties, including pediatrics, endodontics, and prosthodontics.
Certification in radiology (X-Ray) is preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not already held.
Must be detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask effectively in a busy setting.
