A well-established Periodontal practice is seeking a full or part-time dental hygienist to join a dedicated team serving patients in periodontics, oral surgery, and private care. This opening will be available in December because the current hygienist is going on maternity leave, creating an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional to step into a supportive and experienced environment. We are looking to find the perfect candidate for this role and want to give plenty of opportunity for working interviews during this time.
The practice is led by Dr. Zatzkin, who has been practicing for 30 years and has built a reputation for quality, compassionate care. This is a small office with an amazing team of professionals who work closely together to provide attentive, personalized treatment. The patient population is primarily older adults, though ages typically range from 40 to 95. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with a mature patient base and delivering thorough, gentle care with strong communication skills.
Responsibilities include performing periodontal hygiene, scaling and root planning as well as applying Arestin. You will be scheduled with one patient at a time, with approximately one hour scheduled per patient. The position requires strong attention to detail, excellent clinical judgment, and the ability to work efficiently within a specialty-focused environment. Experience with Dentrix, DEXIS, and VELscope is preferred. Candidates should have at least 3+ years of experience in dental hygiene and be confident supporting periodontal and surgical procedures.
The schedule includes a one-hour lunch break, and parking is readily available for staff. The office provides a comprehensive range of personal protective equipment, including disposable gowns, face shields, latex gloves, N95 masks, nitrile gloves, regular masks, and respirator masks, to help maintain a safe and well-prepared work environment.
Compensation is $60 per hour, which is negotiable based on experience. Benefits include partially paid medical insurance, paid time off, and paid holidays and bonus opportunities. This role offers the chance to work in a collaborative, patient-focused setting where clinical excellence and team support are highly valued.
If you are an experienced dental hygienist seeking a full or time opportunity in a respected practice, this could be an excellent fit.
