Job description:
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team. The position is part time to start with the potential to be full time as the office grows. Wednessdays and Saterdays to start. The ideal candidate will provide quality dental care and patient education in a professional and compassionate dental office setting.
Duties:
- Perform dental prophylaxis, scaling, and root planning, irrigation and laser
- Take digital x-rays
- Conduct patient screenings, oral health assessments, and medical history reviews
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and disease prevention
- Administer fluoride treatments and apply sealants
- Assist dentists during procedures as needed
- Maintain accurate patient records using Open Dental or similar software
- Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed
- Uphold HIPAA compliance in all patient interactions
Qualifications:
- State licensure as a Dental Hygienist
- Proficiency in Open Dental or similar dental software ideal
- Knowledge of medical coding for billing purposes
- Familiarity with taking vital signs and patient assessment
- Understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control procedures
- Experience working in a dental office environment
- Part time only Wednesdays and Saturdays with possibility of additional days
