Position Overview:
As a part-time dental hygienist, you will play a crucial role in delivering comprehensive oral health care to our patients of all ages. Your clinical expertise will enable us to maintain our high standards of care while fostering patient relationships built on trust and education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform digital radiography and accurately assess dental images.
- Utilize intraoral cameras to enhance patient understanding of their oral health.
- Conduct thorough periodontal screenings and cancer screenings.
- Execute calculus removal, including ultrasonic scaling and root planing, tailored to each patient's needs.
- Provide fluoride treatments and individualized oral hygiene instruction.
- Document dental charts accurately, assisting in treatment planning and follow-up processes.
- Collaborate with the dentist to devise effective treatment plans that promote optimal oral health.
- Engage with patients to explain treatment options and preventive measures.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program.
- Active state dental hygiene license and CPR certification.
- Proficiency in digital radiography, dental charting, and standard dental procedures.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with patients of all backgrounds.
- A commitment to staying current with dental hygiene best practices and advancements.
