Periodontal Assistant

Periodontal practice in Albuquerque, NM specializing in periodontics and dental implants.

As a Periodontal Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality care to our patients and will work closely with the dentist to ensure efficient/smooth operations in the dental office. Your attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to work well in a team will contribute to the success of our practice.

Duties:
-Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
-Prepare rooms and sterilize instruments/equipment in accordance with infection control protocols.
-Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
-Provide patient education on oral hygiene, pre- and post-operative care
-Manage patient records, including charting, obtaining current health history, updating care plans and maintaining confidentiality.
-Schedule appointments, help front desk operations efficiently. Handle phone calls with professionalism, demonstrating strong phone etiquette
-Support front office tasks when needed, including presenting treatment plans and collecting payments.
-Collaborate with the dental team to ensure effective communication and patient care.
-Communicate with patients and referring offices in a timely and professional manner

Experience/Qualifications:
Current NM Dental Assistant/Radiology License required
CPR Certification preferred
Bilingual preferred, but not required
Strong organization skills and customer service experience

Pay: Starting From $20.00 per hour
