Our office, located at 16103 W Little York Rd, is currently seeking a Dental Assistant to join our clinical team in a full-time or part-time capacity. This role reports directly to the Office Manager.

Position Overview
The Dental Assistant supports doctors during treatment and works closely with Dentist ensure equipment, instruments, and supplies are organized, maintained, and ready for patient care. This role is essential to delivering efficient, safe, and high-quality clinical experiences while contributing to the overall success of the practice.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical & Dental Assisting
Demonstrate strong knowledge of clinical workflows, provider systems, and assisting procedures
Escort patients from check-in to treatment rooms and prepare them for procedures
Set up and break down operatories before and after appointments
Take dental radiographs and prepare instruments and materials for treatment
Assist doctors chair side during procedures as needed
Support accurate documentation of procedural codes in the practice management system
Assist business office staff as needed to support overall patient flow
Materials & Equipment Management
Maintain knowledge of all clinical equipment, instruments, and supplies
Stock and organize treatment rooms
Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to leadership
Cleaning, Sterilization & Maintenance
Clean, sterilize, and properly store instruments according to infection control protocols
Clean and maintain dental equipment and instruments
Maintain cleanliness of treatment rooms and staff areas
Wash, dry, fold, and store linens
Coordinate proper handling and disposal of medical waste
Office Participation & Professionalism
Maintain a kind, respectful, and professional demeanor with patients, providers, and teammates
Participate actively in staff meetings and team communication
Support teammates during busy periods to maintain smooth office operations
Take initiative to identify opportunities to improve clinical efficiency and patient experience
Serve as backup support for phones, patient check-in, and check-out as needed
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Dentist, Head Assistant, or Office Manager
Qualifications & Skills
Dental Assistant certification or licensure as required by Texas law
Previous dental assisting experience preferred
Knowledge of dental procedures, radiography, and infection control standards
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Excellent communication and patient care abilities
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical environment
Work Environment
Clinical dental setting requiring standing, walking, and use of fine motor skills
Frequent interaction with patients, providers, and team members
