Our growing, patient-focused dental practice is seeking a motivated, compassionate, and highly experienced Dental Financial Coordinator / Floater to join our culture-driven team full-time. This position will primarily function as a Financial Coordinator, while also providing clinical support as a Certified Dental Assistant when needed in emergency staffing situations such as call-outs or unexpected coverage needs.

Primary Role: Financial Coordinator Responsibilities
The majority of this position will focus on front office financial coordination, including:
* Presenting treatment plans and clearly explaining financial responsibilities to patients
* Verifying dental insurance benefits and eligibility
* Submitting, tracking, and following up on insurance claims
* Collecting co-pays, deductibles, and outstanding balances
* Setting up payment plans and reviewing financing options
* Maintaining accurate patient accounts and financial records
* Supporting daily front office operations alongside administrative and clinical teams
* Delivering exceptional patient service while discussing financial matters with professionalism and compassion
Secondary Role: Dental Assistant Floater Responsibilities
In the event of staffing shortages or emergencies, this role will also provide back office support, including:
* Preparing exam rooms, sterilizing instruments, and ensuring provider readiness
* Assisting providers during procedures by anticipating needs and providing chairside support
* Taking final impressions for permanent indirect restorations
* Adjusting and cementing permanent restorations
* Fabricating temporary restorations for crowns and bridges
* Taking and processing patient X-rays
* Processing lab work
* Educating patients on treatment recommendations and post-operative care
* Maintaining patient records and supporting overall office efficiency
Ideal Candidate Qualifications
We are seeking a candidate with:
* Prior experience as both a Dental Financial Coordinator and Certified Dental Assistant
* Strong understanding of dental insurance verification, claims, and patient financing
* Current CDA certification
* Current CPR certification
* Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
* Ability to work flexible hours
* Patient-centered approach
* Proficiency with dental software (Open Dental preferred or similar systems)
* Hard-working attitude with a desire to grow long-term within the practice
