Houston, TXWe are seeking a skilled and compassionate dental hygiene professional to join our busy, patient-centered dental team in a full-time role. This position offers the opportunity to work in a supportive, modern practice that serves a diverse patient base across general dentistry, pedodontics, Medicaid, PPO, and private care. The ideal candidate will bring excellent clinical judgment, a strong commitment to preventive care, and the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages.
In this role, you will provide comprehensive preventive and therapeutic hygiene services while helping patients understand the importance of maintaining optimal oral health. Responsibilities include performing dental cleanings, periodontal assessments, scaling and root planing when indicated, taking and reviewing radiographs as directed, charting oral conditions accurately, and educating patients on proper home care techniques. You will also assist in identifying treatment needs, supporting the clinical team, and contributing to a positive, efficient patient experience.
We are looking for a professional with at least 2 years of experience in dental hygiene. Experience working with children is especially valuable, as this practice includes pedodontic care. Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment are essential. Candidates should be comfortable working with a wide variety of patients and treatment plans, including those covered by Medicaid, PPO, and private insurance.
