An exciting opportunity is available as Canvas Dental has an opening for a Registered Dental Assistant position in the southwest area of Austin, TX.

Job Type:
Full-Time - 4 day work week

Compensation:
- Pay is based on experience and open to discussion - $22-28/hour
- Benefits include 5 medical plans to choose from; free dental benefits for the employee, their spouse, and dependent children; paid holidays; and paid-time-off.

Job Duties and Requirements:
• Assist dentist with all procedures
• Assist hygiene when needed
• Prepare, maintain, and sterilize instruments and equipment
• Assist in maintaining the daily schedule
• Prepare and break down treatment rooms
• Record and review medical history
• Perform diagnostic quality digital x-rays and intraoral pictures
• Chart existing and recommended treatment
• Inventory management
• Willingness to be cross-trained in the front office as needed
• Providing post-treatment and/or operative care to patients
• Assist with other office duties as requested or needed

Qualifications:
• Organized with good time-management skills for a smooth work-flow
• Experienced at 4-handed dentistry a plus
• Good verbal and communication skills
• We are a paperless office so strong computer skills is a must
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to present treatment plans and talk money with patients
• Team player - open to communication and self-improvement
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of how to use Curve Dental is a plus
• Bilingual (Spanish) a plus

Education & Background Requirements:
• Texas registration certificate for dental assistants
• Current CPR certification
• Nitrous certification a plus
• 1 year experience is preferred, but willing to train recent graduates
