We are seeking a skilled and compassionate dental hygienist to join a patient-centered dental team in a full-time role. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who values preventive care, patient education, and delivering a positive experience in a busy general dentistry setting. Our practice is a single-doctor office committed to providing high-quality care with a personalized approach for every patient.

In this role, you will be responsible for performing comprehensive dental cleanings, periodontal maintenance, and oral health assessments while supporting the doctor in delivering efficient and effective treatment. You will play an important part in helping patients understand the connection between oral health and overall wellness, and you will be expected to communicate findings clearly and professionally.

Key responsibilities include reviewing patient medical and dental histories, taking and documenting clinical notes, charting periodontal measurements, completing prophylaxis and scaling procedures, and educating patients on proper home care techniques. You may also assist with taking diagnostic radiographs, applying preventive agents such as fluoride and sealants, and identifying areas of concern that require further evaluation by the doctor. Strong attention to infection control, accuracy in recordkeeping, and compliance with clinical protocols is essential.

The ideal candidate will have an associate or bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene and current licensure to practice as required. We are looking for someone who demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to build trust with patients of all ages. Experience in general dentistry is preferred, though motivated new graduates with strong clinical skills and a desire to learn are encouraged to apply.

Successful candidates will bring a professional, team-oriented attitude and the ability to contribute to a supportive, efficient office environment. Comfort working in a single-doctor practice is important, as is the ability to manage a full schedule while maintaining a calm, organized approach. Familiarity with modern dental software, digital radiography, and contemporary hygiene protocols is a plus.
