Dental Assistant Merrimack, NH

We are seeking a Hybrid Front Desk & Dental Assistant to join our growing team. Location: Merrimack, NH

Compensation: $25–$30/hr (based on experience)
Schedule: Full-Time Monday–Thursday: 7:45 AM – 5:00 PM (2 Fridays out each month)
1st Friday of the Month: 8:45 AM – 1:00 PM 3rd Friday of the Month: 7:45 AM – 1:00 PM

Position Overview
This is a dual role designed for a motivated and adaptable individual who can provide clinical
support to the doctor while also managing key front-office tasks. You’ll assist chairside, help
maintain smooth clinical operations, and support the front desk team by greeting visitors,
coordinating appointments, and ensuring exceptional communication throughout the day.

Dental Assistant Responsibilities
● Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments according to infection control standards
● Assist chairside during a variety of procedures
● Take and develop digital X-rays (NH certification required)
● Support the doctor with efficient room turnover and case setup
● Perform coronal polishing and other expanded functions (preferred, not required)
● Maintain accurate clinical records and assist with lab cases or supply management

Front Desk Responsibilities
● Greet visitors professionally and manage check-in/check-out
● Confirm and schedule appointments
● Manage records and assist with billing and payment collection
● Support daily administrative communication and workflow
● Provide coverage on Fridays (no doctor present) for hygiene appointments, scheduling, and phone management

What We’re Looking For
● Minimum of 3 years of dental assisting experience
● NH X-ray certification required
● Coronal polishing certification preferred
● Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills
● Comfortable balancing both clinical and front-office tasks
● Professional, polished presentation and positive attitude
● Experience with Dentrix Ascend preferred
