FULL TIME DENTAL HYGIENIST TO START MID APRIL

Tailor-Made Smiles is seeking a passionate and skilled Dental Hygienist to become an integral part of our close-knit dental practice. Our small general office is committed to providing exceptional care tailored to the unique needs of our adult patients in the Rutherford area. As a single-doctor practice led by our experienced female dentist, you will work alongside a supportive team, including another hygienist, a registered dental assistant, a front desk manager, and a floater.
About the Role:
In this full-time position, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality dental hygiene services, including but not limited to:
- Conducting thorough oral health assessments
- Performing comprehensive periodontal screenings
- Providing treatments such as scaling and root planing, fluoride applications, and antimicrobials
- Educating patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of maintaining their dental health
You will have the benefit of seeing one patient at a time, allowing you to provide personalized care with appointments lasting 45-60 minutes. Our practice is equipped with the latest dental technology, including EagleSoft software, digital radiography, the iTero scanner, and handheld NOMAD Pro machines, ensuring you have the tools necessary to excel in your role.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should possess A VALID NJ RDH AND LOCAL ANESTHESIA LICENSE IN GOOD STANDING and at least one year of experience in a dental hygiene role. Proficient in local anesthesia, iTero scanning, and Arestin placement. A valid CPR certification is required, and familiarity with periodontal treatments and patient education is essential.
Work Hours and Benefits:
Our office operates Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, with alternates on Saturdays, offering a total of 32-36 hours per week. We value our team members and offer competitive compensation ranging from $56 to $60 hourly based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits including 401(k), PTO after one year, sick leave as per NJ law, paid holidays, and continued education opportunities through Spear Education and Molis training for Invisalign.
**MONDAY 9-5, TUESDAY AND THURSDAY 10-7, FRIDAY 9-3, ALTERNATE SATURDAYS 9-1
