Position Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and experienced Cross-Trained Dental Assistant / Front Office Coordinator to join our dental team in Houston, TX. This hybrid position requires both clinical and administrative expertise to ensure smooth daily operations and exceptional patient care.

You will assist the dentist chairside, maintain clinical standards, and manage front office duties such as patient intake, scheduling, insurance verification, and patient communications.

Key Responsibilities:
Back Office (Clinical):

Assist the dentist during procedures and examinations

Prepare operatories and sterilize instruments per OSHA standards

Take dental X-rays and maintain accurate clinical documentation

Monitor patient comfort and safety throughout appointments

Maintain proper infection control procedures

Front Office (Administrative):

Greet patients, manage check-in/check-out procedures

Schedule and confirm appointments

Verify insurance eligibility and process claims

Maintain accurate patient records in Open Dental software

Answer phones and respond to patient inquiries professionally

Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent

Minimum 1 year of experience as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA)

Valid X-Ray Certification

Proficiency in Open Dental software

Bilingual (Spanish/English or other language as applicable)

Experience with scheduling and insurance verification

Reliable transportation or relocation to Houston, TX prior to start date
