Dental Hygienist Needed!

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about oral health and dedicated to providing exceptional patient care. As a Dental Hygienist, you will work closely with dentists and other dental professionals to promote good oral hygiene practices and prevent dental diseases. You will perform various tasks such as teeth cleanings, oral assessments, and patient education to ensure our patients achieve optimal oral health.

Responsibilities:
Perform dental cleanings to remove plaque, tartar, and stains from patients' teeth.
Conduct comprehensive oral assessments to identify oral health issues such as cavities, gum disease, and oral cancer.
Take dental x-rays as needed for diagnostic purposes.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and recommend oral care products.
Administer fluoride treatments and apply dental sealants to protect teeth from decay.
Assist dentists during dental procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials.
Record patients' medical and dental histories accurately and maintain updated patient records.
Sterilize dental instruments and equipment to ensure compliance with infection control protocols.
Schedule dental appointments and follow up with patients to ensure they adhere to their treatment plans.
Stay informed about advancements in dental hygiene techniques and technologies through continuing education and professional development.

Requirements:
Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist.
Associate's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program; Bachelor's degree preferred.
Proven experience working as a Dental Hygienist in a dental practice or clinic.
Strong knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and equipment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with other dental professionals.
Attention to detail and commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
Proficiency in using dental software for patient charting and scheduling.
Willingness to adhere to strict infection control and safety protocols.
Dedication to maintaining confidentiality of patient information.

Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation).
Experience with pediatric dental patients.
Additional certifications or training in specialized dental hygiene procedures such as periodontal therapy or nitrous oxide administration.
Working Conditions: The Dental Hygienist will primarily work in a clean and well-equipped dental office environment. The role may require standing for extended periods and occasional lifting of heavy equipment. The candidate must be comfortable working closely with patients of all ages and backgrounds.
