One of our amazing dental assistants is headed to full time college for a future as a dentist. We are very excited for her and looking to find another amazing dental assistant to join our team. We are a small private practice with one dentist and three hygienists( two full time and one part time). Position can be full or part time. Office hours are Mon- Thurs 8am-5pm with one hour lunch. Ideal start date 9/14/26(can be flexible)

In this vital role, you will assist the dentist during procedures, ensure clinical operations run smoothly, and uphold the highest standards of infection prevention and patient confidentiality. Responsibilities
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments following strict infection control protocols, including dental sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques.
• Assist dentists chairside during a variety of procedures s

• Manage patient records using electronic health record (EHR) systems like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic; document medical history, vital signs, and treatment details precisely.
• Provide excellent patient management by explaining procedures, answering questions about dental terminology, and ensuring a positive experience from check-in to checkout.
• complete child prophies and review oral hygiene with children and their care providers
• Uphold clinical confidentiality policies while maintaining a clean, organized clinical environment aligned with healthcare infection prevention and control standards.
Experience
• Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting with familiarity in general dentistry procedures is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of dental assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry and oral surgery support is advantageous.
• Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; experience with Epic or other healthcare software is a plus. Our office uses Dentrix
• Strong understanding of medical documentation practices, medical coding, and medical records management.
• Demonstrated expertise in infection prevention management, dental sterilization procedures, and aseptic techniques.
• Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices and working with children is desirable.
• Certification in dental assisting or related fields is preferred; ongoing professional development in dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and healthcare infection control is encouraged.
