Role Description: The Oral Surgeon will provide full-scope oral and maxillofacial surgical care, including extractions, bone grafts, dental implant placement, and management of oral pathology. Daily responsibilities include evaluating patients, developing treatment plans, performing surgical procedures, administering anesthesia, and overseeing post-operative care. The role involves working closely with general dentists and other clinical team members to coordinate interdisciplinary treatment and ensure a high standard of safety and patient experience. The Oral Surgeon will also document care thoroughly, maintain compliance with regulatory and infection control standards, and participate in practice-wide case discussions as needed. This is a part-time, on-site role located in Villa Rica, GA.
Qualifications
*Demonstrated proficiency in Oral Surgery, including extractions, bone grafting, and management of surgical complications.
*Strong foundation in Dentistry and Medicine to support comprehensive diagnosis, treatment planning, and interdisciplinary care.
*Competence in Anesthesiology principles relevant to oral surgery, including safe administration and monitoring of local and sedation techniques.
*Hands-on experience with Dental Implants, including planning, placement, and follow-up care.
*DDS/DMD from an accredited institution and completion of an oral and maxillofacial surgery residency; active or eligible Georgia dental license.
*Commitment to evidence-based practice, infection control, and patient safety, with excellent communication and collaborative skills.
*Ability to work efficiently in a busy clinical setting, prioritize multiple cases, and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
*Board certification or eligibility in oral and maxillofacial surgery is highly beneficial.
