Experienced Dental Assistant

Dental office in Chamblee looking for an assistant to join our team. Dr
Andrew Soulimiotis is a general dentist whose office exclusively treats sleep apnea and snoring and do not do general dentistry. Very low key, low stress office with a small staff and one doctor. We are a fun office with a small staff who likes to work in a positive and energetic environment. We strive to make all our patients comfortable, happy to see us and feel like we care about them deeply. We’re looking to add a skilled, organized, and passionate Dental Assistant to our growing practice. Would be great if you have some experience with oral appliance therapy to treat sleep apnea but if you don't, then you should be willing to learn this amazing treatment for patients.

Position Overview:
We are looking for an assistant with expertise and proficiency in taking panoramic x-rays, intraoral scans. Ideally we want someone who is organized, detail oriented able to tackle problems that may come up on their own, work efficiently, and be able to deliver oral appliances and adjust them to fit properly (much like a night guard). You should be able to go over what we do for patients and give them proper instructions on what to expect after they see us. Have compassion and put patients at ease while they are in our office.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

-Take digital pano x-rays and digital impressions with intraoral scanners

-Deliver oral appliances for sleep apnea and adjust them to fit properly

-Prepare and maintain operatories and making sure they are properly cleaned/sterilized, stocked, and ready for use

-Provide excellent patient care, ensuring comfort and education throughout their visit

-Review patient digital chart and conduct notes during doctor exam with patient.

-Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and safety procedures

-Work collaboratively with the rest of the team to make it a smooth process from the phone call to the time patients leave the office.

-Participate with front part of the team in making phone calls to pateints, have proper records for each patient and any paperwork needed during the hand off with the front desk.

-Keep up with lab cases to make sure they arrive on time, are in the case management software and assure patient already has an appointment.

Qualifications should include proficiency in intraoral scanning and pan x-ray machine. Organized skills so you can easily communicate with other assistant and front desk. Be a multitask person and be able to work well as a team. Able to work independently without being overwhelmed. You will need a reliable transportation to commute to work.
