Dental Insurance Coordinator

ABOUT US:
We are a patient-centered dental practice committed to delivering high-quality care in a welcoming and supportive environment. We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and experienced Dental Insurance Coordinator to join our team.
We work exclusively with PPO insurance plans. Strong experience with PPO verification and detailed breakdowns is required for this role. Our team is focused on accuracy, transparency, and creating an exceptional experience for every patient.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Verify patient insurance eligibility prior to appointments
-Obtain and document full plan details, including: co-insurance percentages, frequencies, limitations, exclusions, age limits, annual maximums, deductible, remaining benefits, and coverage for specific procedure codes.
-Accurately enter and update insurance information in the system
-Communicate clearly with the front office and clinical team regarding coverage details
-Identify and resolve discrepancies proactively to prevent billing issues
QUALIFICATIONS:
-Minimum 2+ years of dental insurance verification experience required
-Strong understanding of PPO dental insurance plans and breakdowns
-Experience interpreting dental plan limitations, exclusions, and procedure code coverage
-Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
-Strong organizational and time management skills
-Ability to work independently, identify issues, and problem-solve effectively
