We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dental Hygienist to become a vital part of our growing practice in Caldwell, NJ. Our office is committed to providing exceptional dental care in a warm and welcoming environment. About the Role:
As a Dental Hygienist, you will play an essential role in delivering quality dental care and education to our patients. Your responsibilities will include performing comprehensive dental cleanings, taking digital X-rays, and conducting periodontal assessments. You will also educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental check-ups. Your expertise will directly contribute to the overall health and satisfaction of our patients.
Hours would be 6:30 AM (7 AM first patient) - 5PM OR 7:30 AM (8 AM first patient) - 6 PM depending on the day of the week. This beautiful practice is located in a house building with ample parking behind the building. Dr. Volpe has been in dentistry for 50 years this May! Health insurance benefit and paid time off as well!
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough oral examinations and cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth
- Assess patients’ periodontal health and assist in developing individualized care plans
- Take digital X-rays and maintain accurate records of patient care
- Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and the effects of diet on dental health
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain infection control protocols and adhere to all safety regulations
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
- A valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in a dental office setting is required
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with patients
- Proficiency in dental software and digital radiography
- Commitment to continuing education and staying updated on dental best practices
