JOB SUMMARY:
The perfect Dental Hygienist at Legacy Dental is friendly, professional, and puts patient experience as a top priority. The Hygienist will work with a general dentist to create comprehensive treatment plans focused on each patient achieving optimal oral health.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Educate patients on oral health conditions, restorative needs, and customized oral hygiene instructions
Conduct extraoral and intraoral exams, including oral cancer screenings
Chart and diagnose dental and periodontal conditions
Remove biofilm, toxins, and hard deposits
Apply fluoride varnish and sealants
Educate patients on nutritional needs
MINIMUM EDUCATION/LICENSURE AND REQUIREMENTS:
License and Requirements
Graduate of Accredited Dental Hygiene Program (Associates degree minimum, Bachelors preferred)
Active Texas RDH Licensure
Current CPR certification (AHA preferred BLS with AED)
Minimum one year experience preferred
Experience with Dentrix Ascend preferred
Excellent customer service required
