Job Title: Front Desk Scheduling Coordinator

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Front Desk Scheduling Coordinator to serve as the operational anchor of our micro-endodontic practice. This role is responsible for managing patient flow, optimizing provider schedules, and delivering a polished, professional front-office experience aligned with the precision and efficiency expected in a specialty dental environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage a high-efficiency appointment schedule, including emergency endodontic cases and time-sensitive procedures
- Serve as the first point of contact for patients, referring offices, and vendors—both in person and via phone/email
- Verify patient information, insurance eligibility, and referral documentation prior to appointments
- Maintain real-time schedule accuracy, minimizing downtime and maximizing chair utilization
- Communicate effectively with referring general dentists and specialists regarding case coordination and scheduling priorities
- Handle patient check-in/check-out processes, including financial discussions and payment collection
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and all patient confidentiality standards
- Support clinical team workflow by anticipating scheduling needs and adjusting for procedural variability
Qualifications
- Exceptional communication skills with a professional, calm, confident and composed demeanor
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
- High attention to detail and strong organizational discipline
- Familiarity with dental insurance verification and coordination of benefits
Preferred Attributes
- Experience working in an endodontic or specialty dental setting
- Understanding of procedural time blocks and case complexity in endodontics
- Ability to manage urgent/emergency scheduling without disrupting overall workflow
