Responsibilities:
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, coordinating with other departments as needed
- Collect and update patient information, including medical history and insurance details
- Maintain accurate and organized patient records, both electronic and physical
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information about services offered
- Assist with billing and insurance claims processing
- Collaborate with the treatment team to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient operations
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to protect patient privacy and confidentiality
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a dental office or similar role
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
- Familiarity with dental software systems (DENTRIX) is a plus
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in using office equipment, such as computers, phones, and fax machines
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality
