Hygienist for a Comprehensive, Independent Practice

We’re seeking a skilled, patient-focused dental hygienist to join our independent, single-doctor practice in Avondale/Logan Square. We opened in December 2024 and are growing quickly, with about 30 new patients each month. Our current hygienist’s schedule is full, so we’re adding a second hygiene position. This is a part-time role to start, with the opportunity to grow to full time as we open new hygiene days.

You’ll see adults and kids, one patient at a time. Hygiene appointments are 60 minutes, with 2 hours for SRP, so each visit is thorough and unrushed. You’ll handle perio charting, run your own perio re-evaluations, set recall intervals, and tailor care to each patient’s individual risk. Our hygiene protocol is biofilm-focused, using air polishing and piezo ultrasonic scaling, and you’ll use salivary testing to help patients understand their risk.

We’re a small, close-knit team in a 5-operatory office with a system-oriented approach, and clinical input from hygiene is taken seriously. We’re a fully digital office, including digital radiography, DEXIS intraoral scanning, CBCT, and in-office 3D printing.

What we’re looking for
- Active Illinois RDH license and current CPR certification
- Confidence with thorough perio charting, SRP, and local anesthesia
- 1+ years of experience preferred; new graduates with strong clinical skills are encouraged to apply
- Experience with any of the following is a plus: air polishing, piezo scaling, lasers

Schedule and pay
- One to two 8-hour days per week to start, flexible on which days
- Weekdays only, no weekends
- $50 to $55+ per hour, based on experience
