Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Bilingual Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our dynamic dental team in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will play a key role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting the smooth operation of our dental practice. This position requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication in English and Spanish, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with dental software and systems is essential.
Responsibilities
Assist dentists during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, ensuring all instruments and materials are ready prior to procedures.
Take dental X-rays and perform diagnostic imaging in compliance with Texas regulations and infection control standards.
Accurately document patient medical histories, vital signs, and treatment plans in EMR systems (Open Dental).
Educate patients on oral hygiene, treatment procedures, and post-operative care.
Assist with scheduling appointments and front desk duties as needed.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile work environment following aseptic and infection control protocols.
Qualifications & Requirements
Active Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license in the State of Texas (required).
Bilingual: fluent in English and Spanish (required).
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting preferred (general dentistry or prosthodontics a plus).
Proficiency with EMR systems, preferably Open Dental.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, dental anatomy, prosthodontics, and medical terminology.
Experience with 3D scanners and dental imaging is a plus.
Current CPR/BLS certification.
Excellent interpersonal skills with a compassionate and professional approach to patient care.
