Full-Time Dental Assistant

We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Dental Assistant to work at our Excelsior Springs office (just 12 minutes north of Liberty). Applicant should be familiar with procedures such as:

Preparing treatment areas: Setting up exam rooms, sterilizing and organizing instruments, and ensuring all necessary materials and equipment are ready for procedures.
Assisting chairside during treatments: Passing instruments to the dentist, using suction to keep the patient's mouth clear, holding retractors, and anticipating the dentist's needs during procedures like fillings, extractions, crowns, or root canals.
Taking and processing dental X-rays: Capturing radiographs (with proper training and certification where required) and developing or digitally processing them.
Providing patient care and comfort: Greeting and seating patients, reviewing medical histories, taking vital signs, explaining procedures, making patients feel at ease, and providing post-treatment instructions or oral hygiene education.
Performing infection control: Sterilizing instruments and equipment, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and following strict protocols to prevent cross-contamination.
Handling administrative tasks: Scheduling appointments, updating patient records, managing billing and insurance paperwork, answering phones, and maintaining office supplies/inventory.

Experience with Open Dental is a plus, but a willingness and the ability to become familiar with it is a must.

Our compensation varies and is highly dependent on availability, certifications, experience, and skills evaluation.
