Surgical Dental Assistant

Meridian, a specialty Endodontic and Periodontic practice serving the greater Milwaukee area and a recognized 2026 SE Wisconsin Top Workplace, is hiring a Dental Assistant to support our doctors chairside during specialty procedures. You'll prep treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, take digital radiographs, help patients feel calm and informed, and keep accurate records. We're looking for someone detail-oriented and warm with patients — a high school diploma is required, and a dental assistant program plus current CPR/BLS and X-ray certification are preferred, though new graduates are welcome to apply. Role Overview
As a Dental Assistant at Meridian, you'll work chairside with our specialists to support specialty procedures, helping every patient feel calm, informed, and well cared for from check-in to check-out. This is a hands-on clinical role for someone who is detail-oriented, personable, and eager to grow within a specialty dental setting.

Key Responsibilities
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments according to infection-control protocols
• Assist the endodontist chairside during procedures, including suctioning, retracting, and passing instruments
• Take and process digital radiographs and 3D imaging as directed
• Welcome patients, explain procedures in clear, reassuring terms, and ease anxiety around treatment
• Maintain accurate patient records and update charts in the practice management system
• Manage inventory and reorder clinical supplies as needed
• Coordinate with the front office team on scheduling and referring-dentist communication
• Follow all OSHA, HIPAA, and infection-control standards

Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Graduate of an accredited Dental Assistant program preferred
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Prior chairside experience in a dental or endodontic setting preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply
• Strong communication skills and a genuinely warm, patient-first bedside manner
• Comfortable with digital charting and dental practice management software
• Ability to work collaboratively across a multidisciplinary clinical team
