About Us
Big City Dental is a welcoming, patient-focused dental practice with a primarily fee-for-service model, complemented by some Delta in-network patients. Our office is a small, family-run team where everyone pitches in, creating a positive and collaborative work environment. We are in the process of transitioning to ARCHIE software in October (currently using Dentrix).
Your Role
We are seeking a skilled Dental Hygienist (new grads welcome) to join our team. You will provide high-quality preventive care and work closely with our dentist and existing staff to ensure an excellent patient experience.
Responsibilities
* Perform new patient exams and cleanings (1-hour blocks)
* Provide recare cleanings (1-hour appointments) and SRPs (1.5–2 hours, half-mouth)
* Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as needed
* Work independently or assist with hygiene depending on preference
* Maintain strong patient relationships, delivering attentive and personalized care
* Collaborate with dentists, assistants, and front desk team to ensure smooth operations
Qualifications
* Licensed RDH in the state of Illinois
* Minimum 2 years of experience preferred; new graduates welcome
* Comfortable with both assisted and independent hygiene models
* Strong communication and patient care skills
* Team player with flexibility to adapt to office scheduling
Schedule Details
* Wednesday: 9 AM – 3 PM
* Thursday: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
* Monday: 11:30 AM – 6:30 PM
* Tuesday: 10 AM – 7 PM
* Friday–Sunday: Closed
