Job Posting: Dental Hygienist
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Dental Hygienist to join our friendly and welcoming team at a leading general dental office. Our practice offers a comprehensive range of services, including preventative care, restorative treatments, and specialized procedures. As part of our team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the oral health of our patients and educating them on the importance of oral hygiene.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough dental cleanings and periodontal therapies, utilizing skills in calculus removal, scaling and root planing, and ultrasonic scaling.
- Conduct oral cancer screenings and oral pathology assessments to ensure patients' oral health and timely referrals when necessary.
- Administer fluoride treatments, pit and fissure sealants, and local anesthesia as needed, adhering to the highest standards of patient care.
- Collaborate with the dental team to provide a seamless and efficient patient experience, including scheduling and managing appointments.
- Keep accurate and detailed patient records using Eaglesoft software to track treatments and follow-ups.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive measures to promote long-term dental health.
Qualifications:
- Dental Hygiene degree from an accredited program and current state licensure.
- Strong proficiency in dental hygiene techniques, including the use of the Cavitron and various prophylaxis methods.
- Excellent communication skills, allowing for effective interaction with patients of all ages, including children and those requiring specialized care.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a cohesive team in a fast-paced dental environment.
- A patient-centered approach, demonstrating empathy and attentiveness to individual patient needs.
