Part-Time Hygienist Position

Stony Brook, NYWe are a growing dental practice seeking a reliable, personable, and team-oriented dental professional to join our small, tight-knit office. Our practice is general dentistry, single-doctor, and serves PPO and private patients. We value a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality care in a collaborative environment.
This is a part-time opportunity for someone with at least one year of experience in a dental office setting. The ideal candidate will be friendly, adaptable, and comfortable working closely with others in a compact, fast-moving practice. Because we are expanding, we are looking for someone who can help support our team while maintaining a warm and professional patient experience.
In this role, you will work with one patient at a time, allowing you to focus on quality care and meaningful interaction. Appointment times are typically 45 minutes for established patients and 60 minutes for new patients. The schedule is designed to support thorough, efficient treatment while maintaining a calm and organized workflow. An unpaid one-hour lunch break is included in the workday, and parking is available in the lot in front of the office for convenience.
We are looking for a candidate who brings a strong sense of responsibility and works well with others in a small-office environment. Since our team is close-knit, reliability and a cooperative mindset are especially important. A personable and friendly approach is essential, as you will be contributing directly to the patient experience and the overall atmosphere of the practice.
Compensation for this position is $50 to $53 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. We also offer PTO as part of our benefits package.
