Part Time Hyg'st

We are looking to add a Dental Hygienist to our dental family. Our office is looking for someone passionate about what they do, wanting to work together with the Doctor & team to treat patients and promote good oral health practices. Our ideal candidate will love patients of all ages, have deep knowledge of relevant health & safety rules and a good eye for oral diseases & anomalies. We are aware as a hygienist you have a great deal of opportunities available to you. We are hiring for Monday 8-2, Wednesday 8-4, Friday 8-2, Saturday 8-2 (willing to hire multiple people or 1 person to fill all days)

RESPONSIBILITIES (not limited to)
Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before their examination
Sterilize dental instruments properly
Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history
Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontitis
Clean and help protect patients’ teeth (e.g. remove plaque or apply fluoride)
Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques)
Give instructions to patients after operations or other dental procedures
Take X-rays
Maintain documentation and records on each patient

SKILLS -
Prefer experience an Dental Hygienist but willing to train new grads
In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA)
Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment
Outstanding communication skills
A patient and friendly personality
Attention to detail
Valid TX hygienist license
Laser certification required
