Spanish-Speaking Dental Assistant Externship – Potential for Employment

PLEASE NOTE: This is an UNPAID externship, not a paid job position. There may be an opportunity for paid employment after successful completion of the externship.

We are currently accepting Dental Assistant Externs who are currently enrolled in a dental assisting program and are interested in gaining hands-on experience in a busy dental office.

REQUIREMENTS

Spanish fluency is REQUIRED.

Applicants must be able to communicate fluently and confidently in Spanish with patients, including discussing appointments, treatment, patient concerns, and basic dental instructions without assistance.

Please do not apply unless you have native or near-native Spanish fluency. Basic, conversational, or second-language Spanish is not sufficient for this position.

You MUST list the dental assisting program you are currently attending on your resume. Applications that do not list a current dental assisting program will NOT be considered.

Reliable and punctual
Friendly and comfortable interacting with patients
Able to follow instructions accurately
A quick learner who retains training
Willing to learn all aspects of dental assisting
Professional and team-oriented

Previous dental office experience is not required. We are happy to train the right extern.

This is an unpaid externship for students completing their dental assisting training requirements. Externs who demonstrate strong performance, reliability, communication skills, and a good fit with our team may be considered for a permanent paid position after the externship.
