Maternity Leave Coverage Needed

We are seeking a motivated and experienced dental hygienist to provide maternity leave coverage from October through January in a modern private practice. This role may also develop into a part-time or full-time opportunity based on practice needs and mutual fit.

This is a great opportunity to join a professional, patient-focused team in a general, single-doctor practice that serves PPO and private patients. The environment is structured, supportive, and centered on quality care. The current opening is available because our existing hygienist is out on maternity leave.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently while maintaining excellent communication with both patients and the dental team. You will see one patient at a time, typically spending about 45 minutes with returning patients and 1 hour with new patients. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a lunch break from 12:00 to 1:00.

Responsibilities include providing routine hygiene services, performing cleanings, reviewing oral health findings with patients, updating records, and assisting in the delivery of preventive care. Strong attention to detail, professionalism, and a commitment to patient education are essential. Experience with Eaglesoft and Schick is required, as these systems are used regularly in the office.

Our practice values safety and maintains a strong supply of PPE, including disposable gowns, face shields, goggles, latex gloves, nitrile gloves, regular masks, N95 masks, head covers, and room filters. We strive to maintain a clean, efficient, and well-equipped clinical environment for both patients and staff.

The compensation for this position is negotiable and will be based on experience and qualifications. We are looking for a candidate who can step in smoothly, contribute to a positive office culture, and help maintain the high standard of care our patients expect.
