Dental assistant
LOCATION
Houston, TXWe are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented dental assistant to join our busy full-time dental team serving a general and Medicaid patient population. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in supporting quality patient care. A high school education or equivalent is preferred.
Responsibilities include preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing instruments, assisting the dentist chairside during procedures, taking and recording patient information, updating charts, and helping with x-rays and other clinical tasks as permitted by training and state regulations. You will also provide patients with a calm, professional experience, explain basic post-treatment instructions, and help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient clinical area.
The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, a positive attitude, good attention to detail, and the ability to work well as part of a team. Prior dental experience is helpful, but we are willing to train the right person.
For safety and infection control, the office provides personal protective equipment including face shields, goggles, N95 masks, nitrile gloves, and regular masks. We offer a professional work environment where reliability, compassion, and teamwork are valued every day.
