Dental Assistant for Oral Surgery office in Lutz

Successful Oral Surgery office in Lutz is seeking a permanent, full-time Dental Assistant to join our clinical team.

Experience:
Certified dental assistant with proven qualifications, knowledge and skills for an Oral Surgery practice

Responsibilities:
Candidate will welcome patients into the clinical rooms. Assist the oral surgeon through 4-hand dentistry. Prepare patients for treatments or check-ups ensuring their comfort. Select and set up instruments, equipment and materials needed. Sterilize instruments according to regulations. Undertake lab tasks, as instructed. Provide pre and post-operative care instructions to patients. Keep the dental rooms clean and well stocked. Maintain accurate patient records. Work in a collaborative capacity with all team members in both clinical and administrative.

Skills Desired:
Certified Dental Assistant
Proven experience as a dental assistant (oral surgery, preferred)
Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
Understanding of health and safety regulations
Highly organized
Good computer skills
Knowledge of OMS Vision software a plus, but not required

High school diploma
Bilingual (English / Spanish) highly preferred, but not required

Location:
Private office building located in a professional plaza in Lutz with a dedicated parking lot.

Office Hours for Clinical:
Monday, Closed to patients
Tuesday - Thursday, 7am - 5pm
Friday, 7am - 2pm

Hourly Rate:
Ranging from $18 - $22; dependent upon experience
