Part time hygienist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate dental hygienist to join a professional, patient-focused dental team in a modern office setting. This opportunity is in a general dentistry environment within a multi-doctor private practice, where collaboration, quality care, and strong clinical standards are valued every day.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in preventive dental care, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to helping patients maintain healthy smiles. In this role, you will provide comprehensive hygiene services, educate patients on oral health, and support the dental team in delivering an exceptional patient experience. You should be comfortable working in a busy clinical setting and able to build trust with patients of all ages.

Responsibilities include performing dental cleanings, periodontal maintenance, and prophylaxis; taking and reviewing dental X-rays as needed; documenting patient findings accurately; and educating patients on proper brushing, flossing, and preventive care. You will also assist the doctor with charting, identify signs of oral health concerns, and help ensure the operatory is prepared for each visit. Strong attention to detail, professionalism, and a gentle chairside manner are essential.

Applicants should have at least 2 years of experience in dental hygiene and a college-level education in the field. Current licensure and clinical competency are expected, along with the ability to work effectively as part of a team. We are looking for someone who values consistency, patient-centered care, and a polished approach to both clinical and interpersonal responsibilities.

This is a part-time position Wednesday/Thursday 8-5, Friday 8-2 (no lunch on Friday) offering a schedule designed to support productivity and work-life balance, including a 1-hour lunch break. Parking is available in the lot at the adjacent building for added convenience. Compensation for this role is $55 to $60 per hour.
