Dental Assistant for Surgical Practice
LOCATION
Lafayette, CAJoin a growing, multi-doctor periodontal practice dedicated to advanced care, precision, and patient comfort. We are seeking a skilled dental assistant to support our clinical team in a full-time role, assisting with periodontal therapy, dental implants, regenerative procedures, and surgical appointments. The ideal candidate will be dependable, organized, and confident in a fast-paced surgical environment.
Responsibilities include chairside assisting during procedures, taking digital x-rays, dental charting, managing impressions, monitoring vital signs, and supporting four-handed dentistry. Additional duties include infection control, instrument sterilization, patient education, suture removal, and assisting with sedation-related protocols such as nitrous oxide and IV sedation monitoring. Experience with Dentrix, DEXIS, intraoral cameras, NOMAD Pro, implants, and lasers is preferred. CPR certification and strong patient care skills are important. Surgery experience is required.
We are looking for someone with preferably 1+ years of experience and a high school education. The schedule is Tuesday and Thursday 7:45 AM–4:30 PM and Wednesday 7:45 AM–3:00 PM, with a 1-hour lunch break. Compensation is $28–$32 per hour, along with PTO, sick pay, medical benefits, 401(k), and 401(k) match. Parking is available in the lot.
