Dental Assistant – Specialty Office (Perio & Endo)

Job Overview

We’re a high-quality Periodontic & Endodontic specialty dental practice in Forest Hills, NY, looking for a dental assistant who’s dependable, detail-oriented, and enjoys working with a small, supportive team. Our office runs on quality patient care, organization, and teamwork — not rushing patients in and out.

Here, you’ll be connecting with patients in a friendly, professional way while keeping the day moving efficiently so every appointment runs smoothly. Your work will make a direct impact on both patient comfort and the overall flow of the office.

What You'll Do

* Provide chairside assistance during examinations and procedures, ensuring all instruments and materials are ready ahead of time
* Engage with patients to help them feel at ease while keeping procedures on schedule
* Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed
* Set up and clean operatories, following OSHA and strict infection control protocols
Maintain sterilization and keep instruments organized
* Enter treatment notes and patient information accurately in our dental software
* Give post-op instructions clearly so patients leave feeling informed and comfortable
* Keep operatories and sterilization areas stocked and tidy
* Occasionally help at the front desk with light administrative tasks

What We’re Looking For

* 1+ year of dental assisting experience (specialty experience is a plus)
* Strong communication skills with patients and team members
* Ability to balance friendly patient interaction with efficient time management
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to stay organized in a busy environment
* Bilingual in Spanish is a plus

Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour
