Registered Dental Hygienist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate dental hygienist to join our established general dental practice. This is a full-time opportunity in a small, private pay family practice that has served patients for 27 years and is built around personalized, relationship-based care. Our team includes two dentists and five dedicated staff members who work closely together to provide high-quality treatment in a supportive, professional environment.

The ideal candidate is confident in delivering comprehensive preventive and periodontal care, communicates clearly with patients, and values a calm, efficient workflow. In this role, you will see one patient at a time and typically spend 60 minutes with each patient, allowing you to focus on quality care and patient education. You will work Monday through Thursday from 7:30am to 4:30pm, with a 1-hour lunch break.

Responsibilities include performing prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, ultrasonic scaling, periodontal screening and treatment, gingivitis screening, fluoride treatment, oral cancer screening, oral pathology screening, local anesthesia, and oral hygiene instruction. Strong documentation skills are essential, including dental charting, patient records, and use of digital imaging and intraoral technology. Experience with Eaglesoft, Sirona, Gendex, Schick, and digital X-rays is preferred. The right candidate will also be comfortable with patient education and helping each person understand their oral health needs and home care recommendations.

Required qualifications include an active CPR certification and a solid working knowledge of general dentistry procedures. We are looking for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering excellent care in a team-oriented setting.
