Hygienist needed in Wauconda, IL at a general family practice
LOCATION
Wauconda, ILWe are seeking a part-time dental hygienist to join our warm, easygoing dental practice. This opportunity is ideal for a professional who values quality patient care, strong team relationships, and a welcoming office culture. Our practice combines general and private family dentistry, with a longstanding reputation for treating patients of all ages with care and respect.
Hours:
Tuesday-Thursday from 8am-6pm
Friday 8am-12pm
Saturday 7am-12pm (once a month and we don't work that Friday)
We are a third-generation private family practice with a small, supportive team that includes two doctors, two hygienists working single column, skilled assistants, and a friendly front desk staff. Our office has a truly special patient community, with many families who have trusted us for generations. We care for patients ranging from age 3 to 103, and we treat each one like family. Our team includes a hygienist and office manager who have been with us through all three generations—one for 52 years and the other for 40—reflecting the loyalty and stability that define our office.
In this role, you will see one patient at a time and typically spend 50–60 minutes per appointment, allowing you to provide thorough, personalized care. We value attention to detail, strong communication, and a gentle, patient-centered approach. This position is currently open because our existing dental hygienist is on maternity leave.
We offer a comfortable and well-supported work environment, including a 1.5-hour lunch break** with no patients scheduled between **12:00 and 1:45**, and **parking available in our lot** for added convenience. To support your safety and comfort, we provide **disposable gowns, goggles, latex gloves, N95 masks, nitrile gloves, and regular masks.
Compensation for this position is $42–$60 per hour**, and we also offer a **401(k) benefit. If you are a college-educated dental hygienist who enjoys working in a close-knit office with great staff, doctors, and amazing patients, we would love to welcome you to our team.
