About the Role
The Dental Office Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the practice while supporting the clinical and administrative teams in achieving practice goals. This position requires strong leadership skills, business acumen, and the ability to create accountability while fostering a positive and supportive workplace culture.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in dental practice management, scheduling optimization, treatment plan acceptance, insurance administration, revenue cycle management, and team development.

Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
* Lead, coach, and develop administrative and clinical support team members
* Foster a positive, collaborative, and patient-centered culture
* Conduct team meetings, one-on-one coaching sessions, and performance reviews
* Support recruiting, onboarding, training, and retention initiatives
* Address employee concerns professionally and effectively through conflict resolution
Practice Operations
* Oversee daily operations to ensure efficiency and exceptional patient care
* Monitor schedule effectiveness and maximize provider productivity
* Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs)
* Ensure compliance with company policies and dental industry regulations
* Partner with providers to support practice growth initiatives
Revenue Cycle Management
* Monitor collections, accounts receivable, insurance aging, and outstanding claims
* Review financial reports and key performance indicators (KPIs)
* Oversee treatment plan presentation and case acceptance processes
* Ensure accurate insurance verification, benefit utilization, and patient financial arrangements
* Support fee-for-service, Premier, and PPO patient management
Patient Experience
* Ensure every patient receives an outstanding experience
* Resolve patient concerns with professionalism and empathy
* Support patient retention, referrals, and continuing care programs
* Maintain high standards of customer service throughout the practice

Qualifications
Required:
* Minimum 5 years of dental office management experience
* Strong knowledge of dental insurance, treatment planning, and collections
* Experience in fee-for-service and PPO practice environments
* Experience with revenue cycle management and accounts receivable oversight
* Proven leadership and team development experience
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
* High attention to detail and accountability
Preferred:
* Experience with Dentrix
* Knowledge of practice analytics and KPI reporting
* Multi-provider practice management experience
