Legacy Hill Dentistry would like to welcome a registered Dental Hygienist to our team. We are a two doctor general dentistry practice open Monday-Thursday from 7am to 4pm.

401K: Legacy Hill Dentistry matches 1% to 1% up to 3%, then .5% (LHD) to 1% (Employee) up to 5%.
Production Bonus (assessed monthly)
PTO: 8 hours earned per month with a total of 96 hours per year (increased to 10 hours per month, 120 hours per year after 5 years of employment).

Punctuality: Arrive to work on time and keep yourself, doctors, and patients on task, making necessary adjustments throughout the day. Seat patients on time when at all possible, especially at 7AM and 1PM. Arrive from lunch break on time.
Efficiency: Structure your environment in a way that is tidy and maximizes workflow. Discover and use best practices in order to maximize your schedule and workflow. Stay focused on the task at hand and limit distractions.
Patient Communication: Clearly communicate the recommended treatment while staying in alignment with the doctor.
Connection: Ensure that each patient is seen, heard, appreciated, and remembered.
Confidence: Transfer enthusiasm and confidence to each patient, remembering that patient education is essential.
Collaboration: Work together as a complementary whole with your team members, rather than pursuing individual advancement. 0% Petty.
Continual Improvement: Discover tools and technology that help both the patient and the practice. Adapt to new practices with a good attitude.
Tasks:
Review schedule and patient charts at the end of each workday to prepare for next day's morning huddle.
Review patient health and dental history at the start of each appointment, update as needed.
Perform comprehensive oral health assessments which includes accurate charting of each patient’s periodontal health (perio charting once per year).
Thoroughly remove all plaque and calculus from teeth and polish teeth and restorations
Apply fluoride.
Take necessary x-rays.
Administer local anesthetic as needed for both hygiene and doctor patients.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices.
Counsel patients on oral health, including the role of nutrition.
Stay up-to-date on the latest hygiene research and techniques.
Stay up-to-date on continuing education requirements including but not limited to CPR certification.
Accurately and appropriately record provided treatment and next visit needed.
Keep your treatment room clean and organized.
Take care with all dental equipment.
Maintain supply inventory for hygiene treatment.
Properly dispose of all disposable items, place soiled instruments in the sterilization area, and thoroughly disinfect all soiled areas after each patient.
Perform sterilization tasks in the sterilization area as needed.
Adhere to OSHA guidelines at all times.
Securely handle patient health information (PHI) according to HIPAA regulations.
Perform other tasks assigned by dentists or office manager.
Accountability:
Reviews no less than twice per year with dentists and office manager.
Metrics: Daily production goal of 3.5 times your daily salary (based upon 8 hours).

Must be licensed to practice in the state of Tennessee. May be required to lift up to 50lbs and be able to actively move throughout the day (sitting, walking, standing, squatting, bending, stooping, reaching, etc.) Not a sedentary position.
