Join Our Periodontics Practice as a Part-Time Dental Hygienist!

Are you a passionate and skilled Dental Hygienist looking to join a dedicated team in a supportive and professional environment? We are seeking a motivated individual with a commitment to patient care and a strong background in periodontics to fill a part-time position in our thriving dental office located in Los Altos.

Our office specializes in periodontics, providing comprehensive care to patients focused on gum health and disease prevention. As part of our team, you’ll play a crucial role in delivering exceptional hygiene services designed to enhance our patients’ overall well-being and health.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform thorough periodontal assessments, including periodontal charting and health screenings, to provide valuable insights into a patient’s oral health.
- Conduct preventive dental cleanings, including scaling and root planing therapy, while ensuring a comfortable experience for the patient.
- Educate patients about proper oral hygiene techniques, nutritional influences on gum health, and the importance of regular dental visits.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date computerized patient charts, ensuring compliance with office protocols and standards of care.
- Adhere to strict infection control procedures, utilizing provided personal protective equipment (PPE), including disposable gowns, N95 masks, and nitrile gloves, to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.
- Collaborate effectively with the entire dental team to ensure seamless patient care and efficient office operations.

Desired Qualifications:

- A valid dental hygiene license in the state of California.
- Experience working in a periodontal practice is preferred but not required; a willingness to learn and adapt is essential.
- Excellent patient management skills combined with a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Strong communication skills, allowing you to educate patients about their oral health and treatment options effectively.

Our ideal candidate will work every Tuesday and Wednesday from 8 AM to 5 PM with a one-hour lunch break. Enjoy one-hour appointments, allowing you to provide the focused care our patients deserve.
