Orthodontic Dental Assistant – Full-Time/Part-Time

Practice: The Shores Dental

About the Position:
The Shores Dental is seeking a skilled and motivated Orthodontic Dental Assistant to join our growing team. We are looking for a professional who is passionate about patient care, detail-oriented, and experienced in orthodontic procedures and workflows.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the orthodontist with procedures including bracket placement, wire changes, banding, and debonding
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms
- Take digital impressions, intraoral scans, and orthodontic radiographs
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and appliance care
- Maintain accurate clinical notes and patient records
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and infection control protocols
- Support front office when needed (scheduling, patient flow coordination)

Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of orthodontic assisting experience preferred
- Dental Assistant certification (RDA preferred but not required)
- X-ray certification required
- Knowledge of orthodontic software and digital imaging systems
- Strong communication and patient service skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Positive, team-oriented attitude
- Bilingual preferred
