Dental Assistant (Full-Time)
Location: Impact Dentistry – Arlington, TX
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM (1-hour lunch)
About the Role:
We’re looking for a dependable and enthusiastic Dental Assistant to join our growing team at Impact Dentistry. This is a foundational role in our clinical team, with responsibilities focused on keeping the clinic flowing efficiently and providing excellent patient care. You will support multiple team members including hygienists and doctors by handling a variety of clinical and patient-facing tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
-Sterilize instruments and maintain strict infection control protocols
-Turn over and set up operatories between patients
-Take digital dental X-rays
-Perform coronal polishing as allowed by certification
-Escort patients and prepare them for treatment
-Review treatment plans with patients and help them understand procedures
-Perform iTero scans for hygiene and doctor appointments
-Support hygiene and doctor columns as needed (e.g., passing instruments, charting)
-Maintain supply levels and prepare trays and materials for upcoming procedures
-Communicate professionally with the team and patients to ensure a positive experience
Qualifications:
-Required: Texas Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license
-Required: Coronal Polishing Certification (or willingness to complete training)
Note: Must have at least 1 year of experience if not a CODA-accredited graduate
-X-ray certified
-Strong work ethic, punctual, team-oriented, and proactive
-Comfortable speaking with patients and reviewing treatment plans

Responsibilities
Job Description: As a Dental Treatment Coordinator, you will play a key role in the success of our practice by assisting patients in navigating their treatment options, scheduling appointments, managing insurance verification, and ensuring a seamless patient experience from start to finish. You will be a vital part of the team, acting as a liaison between the dental providers and the patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Treatment Planning: Work closely with the dentist and dental hygienists to provide patients with detailed explanations of recommended treatment plans, answering any questions they may have.
Insurance Verification: Work with our verifications staff to get insurance benefits verified and assist with pre-authorizations to ensure coverage for necessary treatments.
Financial Counseling: Help patients understand their financial responsibilities, offer payment options, and provide information about financing solutions when necessary.
Scheduling Appointments: Coordinate and schedule patient appointments to ensure efficient flow and timely delivery of care.
Patient Communication: Communicate effectively with patients to follow up on appointments, confirm treatment details, and resolve any issues or concerns.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records and notes of patient treatment plans, insurance information, and financial agreements in the practice management software.
Patient Advocacy: Advocate for the patient’s needs and preferences while ensuring the practice’s guidelines are followed.
Collaborative Teamwork: Work alongside the front office staff, dental assistants, and clinicians to deliver the highest standard of patient care.
Qualifications:
3+ Years previous experience dental treatment coordinator, or Specialty Treatment Coordinator role.
Knowledge of dental terminology, treatment procedures, and insurance processes and verbiage.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Proficient in a dental software (Dentrix, Curve, Open Dental, etc).
Ability to build rapport and establish trust with patients.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
A positive, can-do attitude and a team-oriented mindset is a MUST!
Preferred:
5+ years dental services coordination experience
Familiarity with insurance terms, breakdowns and verifications.
Understanding of dental insurance claims processing and End of Day processes.
