Role Overview

In this position, you will work closely with the dental team to provide preventive and therapeutic care for patients of all ages. The role includes performing routine clinical procedures, supporting diagnostic processes, and educating patients on effective oral hygiene practices. A strong commitment to patient comfort, clear communication, and clinical precision is essential.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform dental cleanings and prophylaxis procedures in accordance with established clinical standards
- Remove plaque, calculus, and stains from teeth using appropriate instruments and techniques
- Take and process dental radiographs as directed and in compliance with safety protocols
- Review patient health histories and note any changes or concerns for the dentist’s attention
- Assist with periodontal assessments and document relevant clinical findings accurately
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive care, and individualized home care techniques
- Maintain sterilization, infection control, and operatory readiness standards
- Ensure all instruments, materials, and equipment are properly prepared and maintained
- Support the dental team in creating a positive, efficient, and professional patient experience

Qualifications

- Completion of an accredited dental hygiene program
- Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as required by state regulations
- Strong knowledge of preventive dentistry, periodontal health, and patient education
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced general dentistry environment
