Registered Dental Assistant
LOCATION
Cypress, TXSmile Avenue Family Dentistry in Cypress is hiring a full-time Registered Dental Assistant at $18 to $26 an hour, based on experience. We're a multi-doctor general and family practice at 9212 Fry Rd, Suite 120, in the Miramesa plaza.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with lunch from 12:00 to 1:00 PM. Weekends off.
What you'll do: seat patients and explain what comes next, set up and break down rooms, sterilize instruments, assist the doctor four-handed, handle lab tasks, give home care and post-op instructions, record histories and vitals, and help the front desk with scheduling and records when needed.
Our office: digital X-rays, a CBCT, an intraoral scanner, and a Cavitron in every operatory. We place implants in-house, so you'll get to assist on them. There's also room to grow into a Lead Dental Assistant role.
What we're looking for:
- Active or pending Texas RDA registration
- At least 1 year of on-the-job chairside dental assisting experience (school externships don't count)
- Solid knowledge of instruments, sterilization and infection control
- Texas coronal polishing, pit and fissure sealant or nitrous monitoring certificates are a plus, and a dental assisting school diploma is preferred
- Good computer skills, clear communication and a patient-first attitude
